THE ROOTS
Hi everyone! I'm Sheena.
I am, first of all, (just like each and every one of you reading), loved by the King of all Kings.
Just like you? Yes, just like you!
Each and everyone of us were created and are loved unconditionally by the Creator of the entire universe.
Friend, let the gravity of that statement sink in.

What would happen if we actually believed this statement with all our hearts?
Would this change how we see ourselves? How we see others? Would this change our thoughts, our actions and our behaviors?
Because friend, this really and truly is the very core definition of every single one of us - loved by the greatest of greatest King.

I am also the worst of sinners.
Everyday, I try to do what I know is right yet in many ways over and over again, I fail quite miserably.
We are all sinners. If we were truly honest with ourselves, there are probably some things we can think of which we wish we had never done, or said or thought of. But that's okay, dear friend! We are not lost or without hope. The God and King who loves us unconditionally, in His justice, chose to send someone else to pay the price for our mistakes. He sent His son, Jesus Christ, who in His immeasurable love for us, came willingly to die on the cross for us so that we can find forgiveness for what we have done and find hope for a better future.

I am a wife and mother. I am not a writer by any means.
So kindly excuse the grammatical errors and run on sentences (and there will be plenty of them).
However, I have felt led to start this blog to share things that I feel God is placing on my heart,
in the hopes of encouraging anyone reading this.
Anything that I share will be rooted in the Word of God, the Bible.

The Bible gives us numerous promises if we live ours lives rooted in Christ.
So I invite you to join me, to try to learn, explore and live out what it means to truly live a life 'Rooted In Him'.

And that's it! Thank you for being here. I pray that you leave encouraged and loved. =)

"And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness."
Colossians 2:6-7 (NLT)
